Zijin reports US$334 million revenue from Guyana in first half of 2026
Zijin's local subsidiary is Guyana's only large-scale gold producer, Kaieteur News reported, and national gold export earnings also rose.

Zijin says its project in Guyana brought in US$334 million in revenue during the first half of 2026.
AGM Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Zijin, a Chinese state-owned mining group, and runs the Aurora Gold Mine, Kaieteur News reported. The paper said the mine is in Region Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni). It also reported that AGM Inc. is the only large-scale gold producer in Guyana.
The Rio Times published the revenue figure on 1 October 2026 and said it was revenue earned by AGM. Kaieteur News carried the same figure on 19 October 2026.
Zijin's interim report put Aurora's output for the first half at 2.2 tonnes, or 70,731 troy ounces, Kaieteur News reported. That is 626 ounces more than the figure the government recorded, the paper said.
Kaieteur News, citing a mid-year report from the Ministry of Finance, said AGM Inc. declared 70,105 troy ounces to the state in the first half. That was a slight fall from 71,316 troy ounces a year earlier, the paper said.
Kaieteur News said national gold export earnings also rose, according to the ministry's report. Gold exports brought in US$826.2 million in the first half of 2026, the paper said. That is US$269.8 million more than a year earlier.
Zijin's 2025 half-year figure for the mine was about RMB1.48 billion, which Kaieteur News put at over US$200 million. The Ministry of Finance kept its full-year growth projection for gold mining, the paper reported.
