Golden Shield deal hinges on renewal of Marudi licence
The company's Marudi licence must be renewed for its Transaction, and a US firm is set to hold about 51 per cent of its shares.

Golden Shield Resources Inc. says the licence for its Marudi project must be renewed and issued as a condition of a deal the company calls the Transaction. The company set this out in a press release published on 13 October 2026.
The company said it owns 100% of the Marudi project through Aurous Guyana Inc., a Guyanese company it fully owns. The project sits under Prospecting Licence PL 1/2021.
Kaieteur News reported on 19 October 2026 that Golden Shield owns all of Marudi through Aurous Guyana Inc. under that same licence.
Golden Shield has also signed a letter agreement that is legally binding. Its partner is Walsh Karra Holdings, an investment firm from the United States. Walsh Karra is working through a subsidiary it fully owns, Aurevo Resources Inc. Golden Shield announced the agreement on 13th October.
The deal would change who controls the company. When it is complete, Walsh Karra Holdings and its affiliates will end up with about 51 per cent of the company's shares.
