GCCI joins five partners for National Small Business Week
The week aims to connect small firms to larger value chains and ends with a public show of up to 100 local exhibitors.

GCCI is working with five partners on this year's National Small Business Week.
Kaieteur News named the partners in a report on 21 October 2026. GBTI stands for Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry, and GMC for Guyana Marketing Corporation. CLBD is the Centre for Local Business Development. GNBS is the Guyana National Bureau of Standards, and SBB is the Small Business Bureau.
HGPTV also reported on the programme on 21 October 2026. It said the aim is to close the gap between larger value chains and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
The week ends with a public exhibition over the weekend. The exhibition is meant to have up to 100 local exhibitors.
Stabroek News reported that GCCI, which stands for Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry, launched the first National Small Business Week in 2022. The paper said the event was meant as a platform for micro, small and medium enterprises. It said GCCI wanted the event held every year with partners.
The CLBD, one of this year's partners, has also posted a Request for Information. These are notices that ask firms what they can offer. This one, for Background Check Services, was posted on 23 September 2026. It closes on 23 October 2026.
Another, for the Provision of Security Equipment, Installation, and Maintenance Services, closes on 9 November 2026.
